Big Pro-Life News

There are some big pro-life news items.  The first is both national and local news.

**From The Coalition for Life:

Words cannot describe the joy it has been to serve as the Executive Director of the Coalition for Life but my time here as reached an end. Later this spring I will be taking a national position with 40 Days for Life to help build upon what began in the Brazos Valley.

My wife, Marilisa, and I both served as Executive Director in this wonderful community which has been so good to our family and to the Coalition for Life's mission to end abortion peacefully and prayerfully.

40 Days for Life began on the sidewalk of East 29th Street in Bryan and has now been done by 300,000 participants 678 times in 270 locations in all 50 states and 7 countries.
This summer we will relocate our family to northern Virginia to meet the rapidly growing requests to spread the Coalition for Life model to other communities across the country.

My replacement will no doubt take the Coalition for Life to the next level. I recruited Bobby Reynoso out of the financial industry and he took a pay cut to work for the Coalition over the last few years. Bobby has built the largest volunteer and sidewalk counseling base in our history and led the Coalition's transition to welcome women and do free pregnancy testing into our new house just yards AWAY from Planned Parenthood.

Bobby served in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and his brother served in Iraq in the United States Marine Corps. Bobby works harder than any employee I have ever had and he has worked in EVERY position of the organization. He is the right man at the right time.

Bobby's passion is contagious and he is a proven leader at every level of our organization from our Board of Directors to our sidewalk counselors.

Please join Bobby and me for my last benefit on March 4th to welcome Bobby as the new Executive Director of the Coalition for Life. At this event Bobby will announce the biggest news in the history of our organization and you won't want to miss it.

Look forward to seeing you at Benefit 2010 on March 4th!

Yours in Christ,

Shawn Carney
Outgoing Executive Director
Congratulations to Shawn.  He will do a great job.  Another Aggie Catholic making a difference in the world.
